article 1: preamble

These terms and conditions of sale apply exclusively between Handpresso Europe sarl, 12 rue de la Tannerie, 77250 Moret Loing et Orvanne, France (hereinafter “We”) and any person visiting or making a purchase on the website Handpresso.com (hereinafter “You”).

The applicable terms are those in force on the website at the time the order is placed.

By validating your order, you fully accept these terms and conditions of sale.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of an unresolved payment dispute.

article 2: contract

conditions to place an order

You declare that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract.

Once you validate your order, you accept these terms and conditions of sale without reservation.

Data recorded by the website constitute proof of all transactions.

An order confirmation email is sent after validation. You are also informed of the shipment of your items.

article 3: prices, availability and delivery

Prices displayed on the website are indicated in euros, including French taxes, excluding shipping costs unless otherwise stated for mainland France.

Product photographs and visuals are non-contractual and may differ slightly from delivered products.

Worldwide delivery is available, subject to carrier constraints.

The maximum delivery time for mainland France is 10 working days from dispatch.

Incorrect or incomplete delivery address

In the event of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, or failure to collect the parcel within the specified time, reshipping fees may be charged or deducted from the refund in case of cancellation:

10 euros for standard shipping
20 euros for express shipping

Unclaimed or refused parcels

If a parcel is not collected from a pickup point, not collected after a delivery notice, or refused by the customer, it will automatically be returned to the sender by the carrier.

The return shipping costs charged by Chronopost or Colissimo will be deducted from the customer’s refund according to the following flat rates:

€10 incl. VAT for shipments within France
€20 incl. VAT for shipments within the EU
€45 incl. VAT for international shipments

These amounts correspond to the return and logistics costs charged by the carrier for returning the parcel to our warehouse.

The remaining balance of the order will be refunded after the returned parcel has been received and checked.

Any request to have the parcel re-delivered will be charged at the following rates:

France: €5 to a collection point
EU: at the actual cost of postage
Outside the EU: at the actual cost of postage

Orders are accepted subject to stock availability.

article 4: customs duties

Any order delivered outside France may be subject to customs duties and taxes payable upon arrival in the destination country.

These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

article 5: payment

Payment may be made by bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.

Payments are secured via approved payment service providers.

article 6: right of withdrawal

You have a period of fourteen days to exercise your right of withdrawal without giving any reason.

Return shipping costs remain at your expense.

In the event of withdrawal, all payments received will be refunded within fourteen days, generally within 48 hours after receipt of the returned product, using the same payment method as the original transaction.

article 7: retention of title

Delivered goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

article 8: Statutory guarantees and commercial warranty

Warranties

Products purchased before 29 January 2026

For products purchased through www.handpresso.com before 29 January 2026, Handpresso Europe SARL did not act as the seller. Sales were made by a third party separate from Handpresso Europe SARL.

Consequently, any statutory guarantees arising from the sales contract, including the statutory guarantee of conformity, must be exercised by the consumer against the seller from whom the product was purchased, in accordance with applicable law.

The fact that Handpresso Europe SARL manufactured certain products does not make it the seller and does not transfer to Handpresso Europe SARL the statutory obligations incumbent upon the seller in respect of the statutory guarantee of conformity.

For products manufactured by Handpresso Europe SARL, consumers may nevertheless benefit, where applicable, from the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, subject to the conditions set out below.

Products purchased on or after 29 January 2026

For products purchased directly through www.handpresso.com on or after 29 January 2026, Handpresso Europe SARL acts as the seller, whether or not it is also the manufacturer of the product concerned.

Where French law applies, consumers benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the statutory guarantee against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.

The statutory guarantee of conformity applies for a period of 2 years from delivery of the product and is implemented at no cost to the consumer under the conditions provided by law.

Manufacturer’s commercial warranty

For products manufactured by Handpresso Europe SARL, a manufacturer’s commercial warranty may be provided subject to the conditions applicable to the product concerned.

This commercial warranty is separate from and does not replace statutory guarantees. It does not limit any rights that consumers may have against the seller under applicable statutory guarantees.

The manufacturer’s commercial warranty covers manufacturing defects and internal malfunctions identified by our after-sales service.

In particular, it excludes damage resulting from misuse or use inconsistent with the product’s intended purpose or conditions of use, including professional use where the product is intended exclusively for domestic or personal use, impacts, drops, normal wear and tear, corrosion, unauthorised intervention or repair, as well as consumable parts and cosmetic defects.

Products located outside the European Union

Where our services are requested exclusively under the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, the cost of shipping the product to our repair centre in France and the cost of returning the product to the customer may be charged to the customer for products located outside the European Union, subject to any applicable mandatory legal provisions.

This provision concerning shipping costs does not apply to the exercise of a statutory guarantee where applicable law requires the remedy to be provided at no cost to the consumer.

Advance replacement

In the event of an advance replacement under the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, continuation of the warranty is conditional upon receipt of the defective product in accordance with the procedure communicated by our after-sales service.

Liability

Consumers

Where the customer acts as a consumer, the liability of Handpresso Europe SARL is governed by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit any consumer rights or rights to compensation arising under mandatory provisions of applicable law.

Business customers

Where the customer acts for business or professional purposes, the liability of Handpresso Europe SARL shall, subject to applicable mandatory provisions of law, be limited to direct and foreseeable damage resulting from a breach attributable to Handpresso Europe SARL.

Handpresso Europe SARL shall not be liable for indirect damage, including loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of customers or loss of business opportunities, except where such limitation or exclusion of liability is prohibited by law.
