Warranties
Products purchased before 29 January 2026
For products purchased through www.handpresso.com before 29 January 2026, Handpresso Europe SARL did not act as the seller. Sales were made by a third party separate from Handpresso Europe SARL.
Consequently, any statutory guarantees arising from the sales contract, including the statutory guarantee of conformity, must be exercised by the consumer against the seller from whom the product was purchased, in accordance with applicable law.
The fact that Handpresso Europe SARL manufactured certain products does not make it the seller and does not transfer to Handpresso Europe SARL the statutory obligations incumbent upon the seller in respect of the statutory guarantee of conformity.
For products manufactured by Handpresso Europe SARL, consumers may nevertheless benefit, where applicable, from the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, subject to the conditions set out below.
Products purchased on or after 29 January 2026
For products purchased directly through www.handpresso.com on or after 29 January 2026, Handpresso Europe SARL acts as the seller, whether or not it is also the manufacturer of the product concerned.
Where French law applies, consumers benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the statutory guarantee against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.
The statutory guarantee of conformity applies for a period of 2 years from delivery of the product and is implemented at no cost to the consumer under the conditions provided by law.
Manufacturer’s commercial warranty
For products manufactured by Handpresso Europe SARL, a manufacturer’s commercial warranty may be provided subject to the conditions applicable to the product concerned.
This commercial warranty is separate from and does not replace statutory guarantees. It does not limit any rights that consumers may have against the seller under applicable statutory guarantees.
The manufacturer’s commercial warranty covers manufacturing defects and internal malfunctions identified by our after-sales service.
In particular, it excludes damage resulting from misuse or use inconsistent with the product’s intended purpose or conditions of use, including professional use where the product is intended exclusively for domestic or personal use, impacts, drops, normal wear and tear, corrosion, unauthorised intervention or repair, as well as consumable parts and cosmetic defects.
Products located outside the European Union
Where our services are requested exclusively under the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, the cost of shipping the product to our repair centre in France and the cost of returning the product to the customer may be charged to the customer for products located outside the European Union, subject to any applicable mandatory legal provisions.
This provision concerning shipping costs does not apply to the exercise of a statutory guarantee where applicable law requires the remedy to be provided at no cost to the consumer.
Advance replacement
In the event of an advance replacement under the manufacturer’s commercial warranty, continuation of the warranty is conditional upon receipt of the defective product in accordance with the procedure communicated by our after-sales service.
